Who We Are
At Palmas Animal Welfare our mission is to confront Puerto Rico’s stray animal crisis with compassion, responsibility and action. Guided by strict shelter medicine protocol’s, we do extensive vetting and prepare animals for safe fostering and adoption, often flying them to loving families stateside through trusted partners.
Education:
We work to build awareness about responsible pet ownership, with a strong emphasis on sterilization as the most effective way to break the cycle of the stray and suffering.
Healthier Stronger Puerto Rico:
By reducing the stray population, we not only protect animals, but also contribute to safer streets and healthier communities for all who call Puerto Rico home.
With our valued shelter partner, El Faro de Los Animales, we strive to give every animal, not just a chance at survival, but a chance at a better life, while creating healthier more stray free communities across Puerto Rico.
